DRDO SSPL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline for 41 Posts

The Solid State Physics Laboratory (SSPL), under the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has released an apprenticeship notification for 41 vacancies in Delhi. This recruitment is open for ITI Apprentice, Diploma Apprentice, and Graduate Apprentice positions, and eligible candidates must submit their application offline before the last date.

Eligibility Criteria

For this DRDO SSPL apprenticeship, candidates must have the required qualification in the relevant discipline from a recognized University or Institution. ITI applicants should have First Division in Fitter, Electronics Mechanic, Electrician, COPA, Machinist, or Carpenter, along with 10th pass with First Division. Diploma applicants must hold a First Division diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Computer Science, along with 10th and diploma with First Division. Graduate applicants should have a Regular Graduation Degree with First Division in Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Computer Science, B.A., B.Com, or B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Communication Engineering, VLSI, or Chemical Engineering. The qualifying examination must have been passed in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026.

Only regular candidates are eligible, and applicants who passed the qualifying examination before 2022 are not eligible. The notification also states that selection will be based on merit in the qualifying examination, followed by document verification.

Interested candidates should first register on the appropriate apprenticeship portal before applying. Diploma and Graduate candidates must register on the NATS portal, while ITI candidates must register on the NAPS portal. After registration, download the application form, fill it carefully, and attach self-attested copies of all required documents such as educational certificates, enrolment proof, category certificate if applicable, and a recent passport-size photograph.

The completed application form must be sent by post to: Director SSPL, Kind Attention: HRD, SSPL, DRDO, Lucknow Road, Timarpur, Delhi – 110054. The application should reach the office on or before 21 August 2026. Candidates should ensure that all eligibility conditions are met before applying, as any incorrect information may lead to disqualification.
