Kancheepuram DHS Recruitment 2026 for 21 ANM, Health Worker and Other Posts

District Health Society, Kancheepuram has released a recruitment notification for 21 contract-based vacancies in the health sector. The available posts include ANM, Multipurpose Health Worker (Male)/Health Inspector Gr-II, Laboratory Technicians, TB Health Visitor (TB HV) and DRTB Counselor. Vacancy Details

The notification includes the following post-wise vacancies: ANM - 5 posts, Multipurpose Health Worker (Male)/Health Inspector Gr-II - 4 posts, Laboratory Technicians - 7 posts, TB Health Visitor (TB HV) - 4 posts, and DRTB Counselor - 1 post. All selected candidates will be posted in Kancheepuram district.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the educational and experience requirements prescribed for each post. For ANM, candidates should have passed Higher Secondary and completed a two-year ANM course from DPH-approved and Nursing Council-recognised institutions. For Multipurpose Health Worker (Male)/Health Inspector Gr-II, candidates must have passed Plus Two with Biology or Botany and Zoology, studied Tamil as a subject in SSLC, and completed the required two-year course from a recognised institution.

For Laboratory Technicians, the required qualification is Intermediate (10+2) with a Diploma or certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology or an equivalent qualification. Preference will be given to candidates with one year of experience in NTEP or sputum smear microscopy, and higher qualifications may also be preferred. For TB Health Visitor, candidates should have a graduate degree in science or 10+2 in science with relevant experience in MPHW/LHV/ANM/health worker roles or a higher course in health education/counselling, along with a certificate course in computer operations of at least two months.

For DRTB Counselor, the essential qualification is a graduate degree in Sociology, Social Work or Psychology. Preference may be given to candidates with a master’s degree or PG diploma in the same subjects, experience in NTEP or counselling work, and basic computer knowledge.
