District Health Society, Kancheepuram has released a recruitment notification for 21 contract-based vacancies across ANM, Multipurpose Health Worker (Male)/Health Inspector Gr-II, Laboratory Technician, TB Health Visitor and DRTB Counselor posts. Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility requirements vary by post. For ANM, candidates must have passed Higher Secondary and completed a two-year ANM course from DPH-approved and Nursing Council-recognised institutions. For Multipurpose Health Worker (Male)/Health Inspector Gr-II, applicants should have passed Plus Two with Biology or Botany and Zoology, passed Tamil as a subject in SSLC, and completed a two-year MPHW/Health Inspector/Sanitary Inspector course from a recognised institution.

For Laboratory Technician posts, candidates must have passed 10+2 and hold a Diploma or certificate course in Medical Laboratory Technology or an equivalent qualification. Preference may be given to candidates with one year of experience in NTEP or sputum smear microscopy, and higher qualifications may also be preferred. For TB Health Visitor, the required qualification is a graduate in science or 10+2 in science with experience in MPHW/LHV/ANM/health worker roles or a higher course in health education/counselling, along with a minimum two-month computer operations course.

For DRTB Counselor, candidates must hold a graduate degree in Sociology, Social Work or Psychology. Preference may be given to those with a Master’s degree or PG Diploma in the same subjects, experience in NTEP or counselling work, and basic computer knowledge.
