Mumbai Port Authority Chief Manager (ICT) Recruitment 2026

Mumbai Port Authority (MbPA) has released an official recruitment notice for the post of Chief Manager (ICT) on a contractual basis. This vacancy is for one post in Mumbai, Maharashtra, and the engagement is meant for experienced IT professionals who can support port automation, terminal systems, ERP, MIS dashboards, and access control operations. Eligibility Criteria

As per the notification, the crucial date for age, qualification, and experience is 2026-10-01. Applicants must be Indian nationals and should possess a first-class B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, or a relevant IT specialisation from a recognised university, recognised Indian institute, or recognised international university. In addition, the candidate must have 12 years of executive-cadre experience after obtaining the essential qualification. Experience in programming, electronic data processing, network systems, system design and analysis, or related IT functions will be considered relevant. A postgraduate degree in Computer Science & Engineering or Information Technology, along with port or shipping sector experience, is desirable.

The upper age limit is 55 years as on 2026-10-01. The notice does not print any category-wise age relaxation, so applicants should refer only to the stated limit. Serving employees in government, semi-government, PSU, or autonomous bodies must attach a No Objection Certificate. Retired officers and deputationists are not eligible for this engagement.

The application process is offline only. Candidates must download the prescribed Annexure-II from the official notification, fill it carefully, and attach all required self-attested documents. A resume or CV alone will not be accepted as an application. The completed application should be sent to the Manager (HR), General Administration Department, Port House, 2nd Floor, Shoorji Vallabhdas Marg, Ballard Estate, Mumbai – 400001, so that it is received on or before 2026-11-04. Applications received after the deadline are liable to be rejected.

Applicants should ensure that the details entered in the form match the supporting documents. If the marksheet shows CGPA, it must be converted into percentage using the university’s own method before filling the form. Candidates working in government or public sector organisations should not forget to include the NOC, as missing documents may lead to rejection. The recruitment notice also states that selection will be based on shortlisting, followed by interview if called.
