Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility requirements vary by post, but the common educational background mentioned in the notification is from Chemistry or Environmental Science. Candidates applying for the Junior Research Fellow post must have an M.Sc. degree with at least 60% marks in Chemistry or Environmental Science from a recognized University or Institute, along with good computer knowledge. For the Lab Technician and Field Assistant posts, candidates must have a B.Sc. degree with at least 50% marks in Chemistry from a recognized University or Institute.

The upper age limit for all three posts is 28 years. Age relaxation of 5 years is applicable for SC, ST, OBC, PH and Women candidates as stated in the notification.

How to Apply for OSPCB Recruitment 2026

Applicants need to download the application form, Annexure-I, from the official OSPCB website and fill it in carefully. After completing the form, candidates must attach self-attested copies of all required documents, including educational certificates, mark sheets, proof of age, valid photo ID, category certificate if applicable and experience certificates, if any.

The filled application form along with scanned documents should be sent by email to research@ospcboard.org on or before 31.07.2026 by 5:30 PM. The subject line of the email must mention the application for the post along with the advertisement number and date. Candidates should also keep their original documents ready for the interview, as the date and time will be communicated only through email.

Selection Process

As per the notification, candidates will be shortlisted based on educational qualifications and experience. Shortlisted applicants will be called for an interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Additional Information

The project engagement is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project duration. The project duration is two years, and the engagement will continue for two years after selection or until the project ends, whichever is earlier, subject to satisfactory performance. The work location is the R&D Wing, Coastal Management Cell, State Pollution Control Board Odisha, Patia, Bhubaneswar - 751024. Candidates should note that the engagement may be terminated at any time without prior notice or reason, and resignation requires one month’s notice, failing which one month’s salary will be deducted.
