Rajasthan Safai Karmachari Recruitment 2026

The Rajasthan Government, Department of Local Self Government (Swayatt Shasan Vibhag), Jaipur has issued the official notification for Contractual Safai Karmachari recruitment 2026. This large-scale hiring drive offers 24,752 vacancies across Rajasthan and is open to candidates who have relevant sanitation or cleaning work experience in a Urban Local Body (ULB) of Rajasthan. The last date to submit the online application has been extended to 2026-10-13.

Eligibility Criteria

As per the notification, no formal educational qualification is prescribed for this post. However, applicants must have 1 year of experience in sanitation or cleaning work in any Urban Local Body (ULB) of Rajasthan. For the Scheduled Area vacancies, only local residents of Scheduled Areas of Rajasthan are eligible to apply. The recruitment is being conducted on a contractual basis under the Rajasthan Contractual Hiring to Civil Posts Rules, 2022, as amended.

The age limit mentioned in the notification is 21 to 40 years as on 2027-01-01. Age relaxation is applicable as per the rules for eligible reserved categories, women candidates, widows/divorcees, ex-servicemen, and persons with disabilities.

How to Apply

Interested candidates must apply online through the official department portal or the SSO Rajasthan portal. After logging in, candidates should open the Recruitment Portal under Citizen Apps (G2C) and select Apply Now. If the One Time Registration (OTR) fee has not been paid, complete the OTR process first by choosing the correct category, disability status, and home state, then pay the required fee.

After OTR, fill in the application form carefully. Details entered during OTR such as name, father’s name, date of birth, gender, and ID details cannot be changed later. Candidates must capture a live photo during the application process, fill the visible mark details, and submit the form. Once submitted successfully, an Application ID will be generated. Applicants should download and print the final submitted form for future reference. Applications can also be submitted through designated e-Mitra Kiosks or Jan Suvidha Kendras. A candidate can apply for only one Urban Local Body (ULB); applying to more than one ULB will lead to cancellation of all applications.
