KSRTC-SWIFT Limited, a Government of Kerala undertaking, has released a major recruitment notification for 1,040 temporary daily-wage contractual posts in Kerala. The vacancies are for Driver, Conductor and Driver-cum-Conductor positions, and the application process is being conducted online through the CMD Kerala portal. The recruitment includes 385 posts for Driver, 345 posts for Conductor and 310 posts for Driver-cum-Conductor. For the Driver post, candidates must have passed 9th standard from a recognised board or institution and hold a valid Heavy Motor Vehicle licence with the required experience and endorsements. For the Conductor post, applicants must have passed 10th standard (SSLC) and possess a valid Conductor licence under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, along with the ability to do basic arithmetic and read and write Malayalam and English. For the Driver-cum-Conductor post, 10th standard pass candidates with the required driving and conductor licences and relevant heavy passenger vehicle experience may apply.

The age limit for all posts is 21 to 55 years as on 2026-10-22. The notification also mentions physical fitness standards, including height and chest measurements, which candidates must satisfy. Medical fitness will be verified during the selection process.

How to Apply

Interested and eligible candidates must submit the application only through the CMD Kerala online portal. First, read the official notification carefully and confirm that your qualification, licence category and experience match the post you are applying for. Then fill in the online form, upload the required photograph, signature and supporting documents, pay the application fee of ₹100 online and submit the form before 5:00 PM on 2026-10-22. After submission, keep a copy of the confirmation page for future reference.

Selected candidates will later be required to produce a refundable security deposit of ₹30,000 by demand draft at the time of contract signing. The recruitment notice clearly states that this engagement does not create any claim for permanent absorption or regular government service.

Selection Process

The selection process includes a driving skill test and/or written test, followed by an interview, depending on the post. Shortlisted candidates will be informed about the test schedule. Final selection will be based on merit, document verification and medical fitness. The rank list will remain valid for one year from the date it comes into effect.
