Supreme Court of India Junior Court Assistant Recruitment 2026

The Supreme Court of India has released a recruitment notification for Junior Court Assistant posts in its Registry at New Delhi. This is a regular government service opportunity for graduates who also have computer knowledge and the required typing speed. A total of 250 tentative vacancies have been announced, and the online application process will remain open for a limited period only. Interested candidates should carefully check the eligibility conditions, important dates, and selection stages before applying.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university in India. The notification does not restrict the degree stream, so candidates from arts, science, commerce, law, management, computer applications, or engineering backgrounds may apply if they meet the other conditions. In addition to the degree, candidates must have computer operation knowledge and a typing speed of 35 words per minute in English. Eligibility is to be checked as on 01 September 2026, which means the qualification and age conditions must be satisfied on that date.

The age limit is 18 to 30 years as on 01 September 2026, subject to applicable relaxations mentioned in the official notice. Departmental candidates of the Supreme Court Registry have no upper age limit as printed in the advertisement. Candidates should also be ready to produce Class X, Class XII, and graduation certificates during document verification.

How to Apply

Eligible candidates must apply online through the official Supreme Court of India recruitment portal at www.sci.gov.in. The application form will be available from 07 October 2026, and no offline submission is allowed. Candidates should fill in the form carefully, upload the required documents such as photograph, signature, Class X, Class XII, graduation certificates, and category or disability certificate if applicable, and pay the fee through the UCO Bank payment gateway. The form cannot be modified after submission, and multiple submissions will be treated as per the latest application number only.

The selection process includes an objective type test, typing speed test, descriptive written test, and interview. The typing and descriptive stages will be conducted only in Delhi/NCR. No TA/DA is payable for any stage of the recruitment process.
